Matthew A. Dalton

My current major is Philosophy and Religion.  This semester, I’m trying to change my that to Conceptual Arts (hopefully I can update this page when that’s finished).  I enjoy building things, and playing with electronics.

I used to work at Make: Magazine, as an engineering intern, while I was getting transfer credits at Santa Rosa Junior College.  I ensured that the projects going into the magazine were written correctly and weren’t harmful.  I’ve also worked at Maker Faire every year, and have had a ton of fun doing so.  It’s a bit sad that I miss out on the fair because of this, but I still manage to have a blast!  I’m currently working at Instructables, assisting with community management.

At SFSU, I’m taking classes in Glass Blowing, and Conceptual Arts.  I seem to have signed up for 16 units this semester, so we’ll see how it goes.  I’m really interested in figure out how to program that Arduino.  I’ve tried to do different things over the years, but I’ve never been able to just sit down and force myself to learn.

I’m looking very forward to the semester, and we’ll see if I can manage to keep up with all the assignments, extra assignments, and work things that I need to do over the semester.  This should be interesting!
